Well consider it a done deal, Senator John McCain, the hard nosed, moderate has locked up the GOP nomination thanks to the news released by the the Romney camp confirming that Mittens is ready to call it a day, and officially drop out of the race:

John McCain effectively sealed the Republican presidential nomination on Thursday as chief rival Mitt Romney suspended his faltering presidential campaign.

“If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror,” Romney will say at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington.

“This is not an easy decision for me. I hate to lose. My family, my friends and our supporters… many of you right here in this room… have given a great deal to get me where I have a shot at becoming President. If this were only about me, I would go on. But I entered this race because I love America, and because I love America, I feel I must now stand aside, for our party and for our country,” Romney said.

I find it hilarious how Mittens proclaims that his dropping out is saving the Republican party from the possibility of Clinton or Obama winning. You have to wonder if he is serious, or just playing dumb to the notion that the reason he’s been forced to drop out are directly credited to his failure to connect with the republican base. Moreover, if Mitt and his cardboard family hate losing so much then I highly recommend he forgets about ever running again in the future. There is no doubt in my mind that he would only face the same disconnect, which would ultimately bring him the same results , thus sending him back to Loserville, USA, his new home, where he will have more time to design his new endevour, a web page appropriately named www.IcantWinNoMatterHowMuchISpeand.com

Well Mittens, Bon Voyage my good friend. I wish I could say “congratulations on a great campaign”, but unfortunately I can’t. Between your ‘luxury car’ salesman looks, obnoxious spending on attack ads, and incomparable flip flopping, I’d have to say that you’re chances of receiving the nomination were pretty much “dead on arrival.” But look at it this way, in four years you can look forward to another campaign in which you spend over a million dollars per delegate, only to end up dropping out due to your inability to gather any real support structure.
